From a one-off event to a weekly commitment, whatever your gift and skills, we’ve got a role that would suit you! You don’t have to be experienced working with children and young people, there’s always plenty to do.

Here are some of the ways you can volunteer with SUMT:
Resource preparation either at home or in our office
- Cutting out shapes
- Laminating
- Twisting pipe-cleaner crosses
- Assembling craft kits
- Sewing LifePath journey bags
- Measuring out ingredients for Pulmentum
- Washing dressing up outfits
- Counting resources
For a specific event
- Storytelling (in role and costume)
- Leading a workshop
- Helping children with craft
- Loading, driving and unloading a van
- Setting up a venue (moving chairs, tables and decorating)
- Setting down a venue
- Hoovering
- Baking cakes
- Serving tea and coffee
- Logistics to manage event spaces
- Cooking a meal
- Staying overnight at a residential
- Leading games
- Washing up
Currently CU groups run on Wednesday, Thursday & Friday lunchtimes and after school clubs on Tuesdays and Fridays
